Kitchen renos are my favorite!

Hey there, Reader,

This week on the blog, you can read about the kitchen renovation that happened last summer.

It was a "Fixer to Fabulous" reveal, but not without some "Love It or List It" moments wondering if it could actually look better AND be finished before students would arrive in August.

It's crazy how much can happen in a year, which is why I thought this was the perfect time to write about it. It's almost time for the April ballot. It was the April ballot last year that included a bond and my classroom was included in the project plans for the junior high.

I do not know specifics about costs, contractors, etc, but I can tell you the final reveal is better than my wildest dreams. We are talking about 4 kitchens that were original to the building- 1960's or 1970's and now it's a beautiful and fully functioning 2024 version.

My students are certainly living in their best FACS era.

When working with district officials, we couldn't find examples of our vision, which is why I thought there might be a classroom out there that also is in a similar place and looking for ideas.

Orrrrrr maybe you'll plant the seed with your principal that it's time to consider improvements to your classroom.

You can read more about it here.
