The Gathering & Exchange is a virtual summit, hosted by Taco Bout FACS. ”Where knowledge meets community”

This online professional development is for Family and Consumer Sciences teachers by Family and Consumer Sciences teachers.

I'm looking for presenters for The Gathering & Exchange that will be coming up in October.

Are you interested?

The virtual summit will be held October 18-20. The goal is to provide Family and Consumer Science teachers with useful tips that can help them in their classroom. This professional development opportunity is intended to provide benefit to all Family and Consumer Sciences teachers, no matter their location, program size, or resources.

Presentations can be in, but not exclusive to, the ideas below. If you have other ideas, feel free to complete the form.

Presentation ideas could be:

Classroom management

Lesson planning

Classroom organization

Kitchen and cooking

Sewing and apparel

Interior design

Career planning

Life skills

If you have expertise in something that would fit with the virtual summit’s goals and you will be willing to submit a pre-recorded presentation by the mid-September deadline, make sure to fill out the Presenter Application.

Application deadline is July 20. Presenters will be notified by email by August 3.

Years of experience should stop you from wanting to present. If you have something to share and teach others, your knowledge is greatly welcome.
